MoreNiche, Great Affiliate Company

by Melvin · Jan 9, 2009

Just earlier today I received a mail from the mailman that again mispronounces my surname. I was actually wondering what where did that mail came and why. I’m sure I don’t have upcoming affiliate checks and it’s impossible to receive mail from friends this time of the year. So well the first idea I had is maybe its the $135 Market Leverage gift card I won on Tyler’s contest. They’re quick huh!

But anyway I just opened it and was surprised with the content. Its actually a season greetings card from MoreNiche Affiliate Network. I understand it came late because they’ve sent it out December 20. I live here in Philippines so it really takes long before anything that is sent can be received here. Here is how it looks:

Although there’s no cash inside it, I am touched because I have stopped doing campaigns on offers on them for almost a year now. You might remember me having a check w/them before that almost expired due to the fact that I don’t have a bank dollar account during those times. Anyway back to them, MoreNiche is really one of the highest paying affiliate network there is. I remember the time I am making $200 w/them every 15 days with a certain poker/gambling offer. MoreNiche also loves their affiliate so much. As a matter of fact, new signup immediately gets $45 on their account and although $100 is the minimum payout, it certainly helps! They also have a forum, one of the best affiliate marketing forum I’ve seen where everyone is willing to help and share something. I don’t know now but before every forum member who gets 50 forum posts will get another $10. Their slogan “helping you make more money” really portrays their network.

Most of the offers are far from the IM niche. From weight loss offers to viagra to gambling and a whole lot more. If you’re good with those offers then its a sure thing you have to sign up w/them…

Upcoming Contest And Some Announcements

by Melvin · Jan 4, 2009

edit: My contact form is not functioning well, henceforth send an email to melvin@melvinblog.com if youre intrested in sponsoring

Hello everyone and hope you just had a nice holiday altogether.

Last week I mentioned that I have a pretty nice plan for my blog for its first full year at helm. So today I’m letting you know that there will beย  contest brewing up here soon. And by saying contest, I just don’t mean “contest” like most people would say “oh another fuck up contest” or “just another contest”. I am really preparing well for this contest which happened to be very first contest of the Melvin Blog. In contest, what I really had in mind is you, readers more than any traction that I can get for this one. I wanted to give you the best you can for reading and still making this blog a profitable special one. So here I am really working so hard to make this contest an unforgettable one to everyone!

So did I just say this is a special contest? What makes it special in the first place? Although I don’t want to disclose as much details here, maybe giving you a sneak peak wouldn’t hurt right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Basically some premium sponsors for this contest are affiliate networks like Pepperjam Network and Copeac giving away hardcore prizes. And who’s sitting on the backseat side of the premium sponsors? Oh I am very elated to say Dean Hunt, Caroline Middlebrook and Zac Johnson have all shown interest with sponsoring this contest. Now what are they sponsoring? That’s the secret you have to watch for! ๐Ÿ™‚ So if you don’t want to miss this one maybe you should now subscribe to my feed.

Enter your email address:

Delivered by FeedBurner

Just as I said I wanted this contest to be special I am still looking for more sponsors so we could definitely add up the prize pool and make it more fun. You could use the contact form to give me your offers. With regards to sponsoring prizes, I would definitely love to see something more creative rather than just the usual ad spots for some months, or a text link or such stuffs like that. Maybe a cup of coffee or a book? It’s all up to you guys.

The Melvin Blog Incentives

So another announcement is that the newest portion of the blog is now alive and its what I call the incentives part of Melvin Blog. Basically the site is like “get paid to” type of site but more direct in approach. The site pays people to complete offers and basically some offers have cash pots wherein participants can win bigger cash for participating. Unfortunately, the launch of it went flat and only one has eventually completed an offer and of course ended up winning the cash pot of $5. Obviously it’s a loss but eventually there’s a room for so much improvement. I would also like to hear some suggestions to you on how I could possibly improve it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Flip From Market Leverage

by Melvin · Sep 29, 2008

Last month some of you knew that I won a contest by Collin Lahay which was sponsored by Market Leverage. After a month I finally was able to get the Flip from the post office and well they charged me some tax amounting to $45 to it. I just thought this is an example of how corruption has swallowed the Philippines entirely. ๐Ÿ™ Anyway, thanks Market leverage… After I have opened the flip I got a short video by someone on their staff (Debby or Dina or who?) and well I really appreciate it. I took me some sweat to get that Flip as there was a typo on my name on the package…

So in return I did a video of my mine saying my appreciation! (I suck at doing videos!)

Answers On The First Q and A

by Melvin · Sep 18, 2008

Hi guys, I just thought the question and answer went well. I received a lot of personal questions and some of the questions really had made me think. So here are my response to your craps. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Royle: What is the thing that youโ€™re doing online/offline that makes you the most money?

Melvin: Obviously affiliate marketing is the answer. I was doing affiliate since January and I have drastically learned a lot. The poker niche made well for me. I think during February I made $180 in 15 days before it went down as the offer got penetrated well by other marketers. The dating niche, though is what I love the most.

Moolahking: Iโ€™m so sorry if my question a bit sarcastic. โ€œDo you think you will be live long enough to see the world become worst?โ€

Melvin: Yes! Right now I can see it and I am scared and we should! People killing each other for some trivial things. Selfish Government. People risking their own lives just to do a worthless suicide bombing. Hell! I can’t imagine this world when I became 50

Rajaie Alkorani:

Could I please ask you a question?

Seriously, what do you prefer? Building a few large websites generating a high revenue, or building tons of mini websites with small revenue?

Which do you think is more profitable (in regards to the above question)

Melvin: Of course anyone wants a large project but sometimes for me I just couldn’t afford it! Large sites imposes larger risks as they have to be well funded. I always go with mini sites. If it doesn’t work, you can just drop it and you’ll not lose much

Stratosg: i will be a bit more personalโ€ฆ does blogging (or online presence in general) make you loose your sociality? do you have friends? which are the best ones? online or offline?

Melvin: Honestly it’s surprising that one thing I have learned online is better communication. Before I am not a social person. I mean I have a lot of friends but then its just that I dont always want to associate wiht people. Well blogging doesn’t made me lose my friends, in fact it has grown up because my offline friends were still my friends and some blogging perks have pretty much became close to me even though I haven’t met them. The best,ย  still are offline friends and I can say everyone would agree. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Gel: Is it hard to โ€œnegotiateโ€ with other websites when it comes to advertising and stuff? How do you draw a crowd (I mean visitors) here in your site? Which is easier? Making money online or offline (if you tried).

Melvin: Its not. Actually companies are very RECEPTIVE with what youre offering w/them as they dont put so many question marks on you. I mean my blog isn’t big and ranking superbly but I know I have earned more than some blogs who have better readership. Visitors? Actually tons of ways and it varies. But it’s just all about creativity! ๐Ÿ™‚

Static: Why not themelvingblog.com? Your title is The Melvin Blog anyways

Melvin: because my name is Melvin and not Melving.

Wess Stewart: What motivates you to blog? What made you want to blog in the first place?

Melvin: First is the pleasure of being read. I think that alone is something I can always be proud of. And second of course money!

Jeba: Why you think we should read your blog ? what makes in unique ??

Melvin: Basically to learn from my experiences. Btw, the blog has never been a niche blog I can say as its more of a personal blog wherein I have photos with my friends and so. Thats unique!

Trixie: Hi friend, Whatโ€™s harder, school or what youโ€™re doing here? Explain your answer!

Melvin: Definitely school! And I’m not just talking about studies. Im talking about dwelling with depressions and stress with traveling from house to school, waking up early, managing your time, seeing your crush and a lot more. By far, offline is harder.

Badboy23: What is the most know site on the internet that everyone comes back to even though they got kicked off it before?

Melvin: I don’t have an idea! I don’t know, maybe its not an easy question after all!

Zappoint: Ok, Here is the question: Do you have a gun? Why/WHY not? Thanks for the oppurtunity

Melvin: I don’t have simply because I am too young. And i think its expensive

Oliver Carding: I have a question for you Melvin.
Have you ever kissed a girl ?
If so did you like it ?

Melvin: wtf! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Of course I kiss every beautiful girl I see my mom at the cheeks. But well, for other people not yet. I never had any relationships in the past and am always commited keeping myself single until I earn $10K a month. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Bingu: Do you like/love ads?

Melvin: I do love ads. I click a lot of adsense ads and its just like they provide info to users. Now if the site has ton of ads then you dont hate the ads, you hate the site.

Andy: hi
have you ever riden a harly like you stole it??
andy

Melvin: I have never.

And well the winner of the $10 straight to his paypal account is…

Answers and Questions 1

by Melvin · Sep 14, 2008

So I never really wanted to be mainstream, but I think this is the best way to go if you’re heading back on a busy week. Fire your questions away and the best question, not not really, but one that I like the most will get $10 on his/her paypal account.

Questions can literally be everything, if I don’t feel to answer the question then I will not answer the question… ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Top Commentators For August

by Melvin · Sep 10, 2008

Update: Allow me 2 days to process the rewards… ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have been slacking a little bit now on posting blog not only because I have some other stuffs to do but also because I am feeling so much lazy about it. I was tweaking and optimizing all of my dating sites and everything that is related to it. I’ve been also in bad mood these (waking up in morning) and I don’t know why. One thing I feel is that I don’t feel well.

So with the top commentator rewards that happen every month, I nearly forgot the August Month. With the success from previous months, I had a thought for bigger prizes for the succeeding months. So for the last month’s jackass top spammers commentators, here they are:

  • IronBlogger
  • Rockstar Sid
  • Dilson Decano
  • Blog Tips For Beginners
  • Ganesh

So for that month’s stake, the top 3 will get the Unique Blog Money Maker Ebook Which is worth $7. 4 and 5 will get 1000 entrecard credits each. In addition to that the top commentator will get a free 1 month featured link at my sidebar while no.2 will get into my blogroll link (no nofollow). All’s well that ends well ๐Ÿ˜‰

For the future, I might be giving out more surprises. As you may have noticed, I do not disclose the rewards every month so that it would be a surprise to everyone. The future rewards would range to cash, gift cards, and some other stuffs.

Top Commentators, Prizes and Incentives

by Melvin · Jul 31, 2008

So again I am stucked on a very busy weekend with all people making me look like a slave. Like what I have done last month I have given the top commentators some gifts back for commenting a lot. Last time it’s an ebook about incentive marketing. This time it will be entrecard credits and one will get a free advertising on this blog via a link. ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you do not, I just won a contest on Grademoney’s blog and I won 5000 entrecards from Bloggernoob who will also do a review on my blog.

Also I was able to finally receive the Atomic Blogging package worth $37 which I have won Carl Ocab’s Contest. The ebook is a great book and there are some items there that is well worthed. Another thing to say is that I will doing some incentive marketing here on my blog and on some forums. Incentive marketing is something that I have NEVER tried before so i think i’m gonna try to put up some efforts to it. This one is a great and busy week with some great post from all over the world. Check them out:

  • Jim pointed out how to embed image that can attract readers (Very great read)
  • Jason has put up a great and self improvement post on how you should make money online
  • Tom writes a great article on how to manage multiple blogs
  • Craig has compiled his list of his top blogs (look who’s there ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Now who said its bad to give a lot of outgoing links? ๐Ÿ˜‰
