Personal Updates and Ramblings

by Melvin · May 30, 2009

Well many of you who followed me since I started would remember me emphasizing always that this blog is a personal blog, not a make money online or internet marketing blog. But like what most blog’s who share their experience w/internet marketing and in this niche alike, they usually morph to mmo blogs or blogs that people somehow read to learn some guides. Well I wouldn’t lie by saying this blog hasn’t gone from being a personal blog to an internet marketing/blogging one as my post in the archives would probably tell you how this blog really evolved from a ramblings blog to a blog that all of a sudden teaches something, oh well.

I really miss the aura of having a personal blog so here I’m going to list some personal updates from me and some ramblings:

  • I just gained 12 lbs since February though it didn’t really look evident.
  • I bought another walkman phone so to make it kinda a collection.
  • Got myself another reseller account strictly to host this blog and my friends blogs. 🙂
  • Next week I’m going to go to the Internship so for the first time I am looking for quality guest posters. For those who are interested you can state your interest in the contact form.
  • Bought myself an album of Taylor Swift (I know it’s gay and it sucks)
  • Visited my relatives that I haven’t seen in quite a while.
  • Started a small offline business related to nuts!

What to look for, for the upcoming days:

  • My upcoming ebook w/c is titled ‘Monetizing Make Money Online Blogs’. I’m planning on selling it for a bargain!
  • Contest – am planning to hold another massive contest to give back to my readers.
  • change of blog’s theme? – what say you?
  • Newsletter – This one is far-fetched but I’ll try my best. 🙂
  • Blogging Hiatus – w/c is again due to internship. If there is no interest on guest posting then I would probably just sell put my blog on hiatus.
  • And many more. 😀

How about you?

You Blog Theme is nice, no need for change.

I want to do a guest post. My test is coming, its next week so tell me what type of posts you want I will take out time and write an article for your blog. I am moving my blog to new server so will be free on my side.

Enjoy your Internship. Count me in for Review of your upcoming ebook. I hope it will be good enough. Also I would like to see a contest soon.

BTW, the theme looks great at the moment. What theme are you planning to change?

I don’t really set topics for guest posters here. If you think it’s something that may interest them then go ahead and write whats on your mind. Send it to me afterwards.

Closely looking at Thesis theme first, then Woo. If most people think my theme is great then I wouldn’t change it for now

hostgator’s reseller starts at $24 a month up. You don’t need a reseller account to sell blogs.

Love your new blog theme. By the way I had the same problem as well, one of my personal blog was turning into a MMO blog. That’s when I decided to have 2 blogs, one for strictly MMO stuff and the other one for personal rants. Works out great so far.

I would suggest Thesis then. WooThemes’ themes are “too-web 2.0” in my opinion.

Yo! I enjoy seeing blogs that “mix it up”! Makes it more interesting, in my opinion… That’s what I’ve always tried to do over at my blog, just what ever is on my mind haha.. Internet Marketing to Hip Hop! 🙂

Cool, it’s good to have personal posts sometimes to connect with your readers.

BTW, I assume that you know, but your blog doesn’t have PR because you are selling text links.

Cool post Melvin, it is nice to share a bit about yourself every now and again. How about doing normal posts and then doing a summary of YOUR month at the end/start of every new month? That way you still deliver laods of informative content, but still can tell us about yourself 🙂

Also, if you’re looking for a design, contact Alex from Blogussion/Asnio/Kolakube. He does some amazing designs 😀
