Payday loans is one of the most lucrative niches and one that affiliate marketers target due to its high return on investment. This is also the reason why affiliate networks for payday loans sprout everywhere. But just like most profitable niches, most of them are just too good to be true and in this review, we will find out if LeadsGate happens to fall under that category.
Introducing LeadsGate.com
LeadsGate, according to their company profile, is a US-based company headquartered at Durham County in North Carolina. As of this writing they have 2 offices and a total of 15 employees. Judging solely from their website and chatter about their network overall in the internet, I would say LeadsGate is considered as a newcomer and is kind off a low profile affiliate network that focuses more on getting quality affiliates and offers.
Unlike most affiliate networks in general, LeadsGate is primarily a payday loan affiliate network focusing on the US market. They are a pay-per lead type which means they pay based on the conversion of leads that the affiliates send to them. In my opinion, getting paid per qualified lead is always better than a ‘per sale’ model where you only get paid when someone buys which is always harder.
How to join LeadsGate
LeadsGate is unique in that it only allows experienced affiliate marketers to join their program. What this means is that you need to know what you’re doing and more importantly, have traffic already to send their offers to. So if you’re just getting started with affiliate marketing or even making money online in general, then you’re obviously not going to make the cut.
If you are experienced and qualified, an account manager will contact you for further steps. Once everything is set, then you will finally get an account which means you will now be able to start promoting offers on their network. You’re probably thinking that’s a lot of hoops to jump in but trust me, this is all worth it for both parties to ensure that the business relationship lasts for a long time.
I should also mention that while they’re strict, they still accept international affiliates or those who live outside the US. Because of fraud and many other undesirable things happening in the affiliate world, a lot of networks have become stricter on this since most fraudulent affiliates have addresses outside US. It’s nice to hear that LeadsGate accept sapplications regardless of their location but I think they’re still very vigilant on who to accept and not.
What makes LeadsGate different from others
Understandably the next question is how does LeadsGate differ from other payday loan affiliate program or networks. LeadsGate claims that their network is unique in such that they provide their affiliates with tremendous balance that other networks don’t offer. And what about the balance? Here’s a screenshot from their homepage:
Aside from that they have some really interesting selling points. One is the “LeadsGate Rebill” where every future applications of leads that you previously referred will continue to translate as commissions for you. That means more passive income without doing any additional work.
The second one is getting paid for declined leads. We all know a ‘qualified lead’ can be an issue especially for the payday loans niche. LeadsGate’s solution for that is to simply pay leads that are declined which means affiliates can easily earn an extra 5-10% more profit. Monetization of declined leads is somewhat unheard of and it’s nice for an affiliate network like LeadsGate to have this initiative.
Like most affiliate networks, LeadsGate boasts their premium pay for every qualified leads that you can generate. To put it on their own words, they sell your lead at a peak price.
Lastly, they do provide top-notch support and good technology (e.g. tracking, creatives, etc.). Communication with your affiliate manager is extremely important as we all know. The success of an affiliate depends on the quality of the affiliate manager that he/she has. And with that, support plays a vital role. Hopefully LeadsGate has experienced affiliate managers and dedicated support team to help affiliates with every of their inquiries.
Conclusion
LeadsGate, just like most affiliate networks sounds too good to be true, right? Well, this is reality. You can’t really get to know an affiliate network unless you actually try them and get some experience working with them. It’s hard to tell just by looking at their website or even reading reviews like this.
I should mention that I don’t have any first hand experience with LeadsGate myself since I only learned about them prior to writing this review. As mentioned earlier in the review they seem to be quite new in the space but for a rapidly moving and changing payday loan niche, this not out of ordinary.
While my lack of first hand experience with the network won’t make me recommend them to you, I would at least say that they’re worth checking out especially with all the reasonable benefits they’re offering their affiliates. I also like the fact that they’re strict which hopefully equates to them being really serious with what they’re doing.
