We were long told by Mr.Camping that the world would end by May 21st and not surprisingly, it didn’t happen. Out of curiosity, during that day I kind of like acted like its going to really happen. I was very quiet and vigilant. I tried not to go online that much and just reflected on my own life. Well, just a weird act on my end. π
Anyway, May 21 has ended and one thing I realized is how I haven’t posted in this blog in a while. Its funny because I’ve just written a post on how I could focus on this blog again. Long story short, shortly after writing that post I went to the province and when I came back it seemed like I have forgotten everything about what I’m doing online.
May 21’s Doomsday
Obviously, that’s another failed scholarly guess by Harold Camping and every person who believed in that prediction is downright stupid. But even still, let’s not mention that. We could pick a few takeaways on that day though that we could use on our very own advantage.
In my case, I haven’t worked in this blog for like the entire 2011. All I have are plans, specifically elaborated by strategies. Yeah, I’m good at creating long-ass plans but whether I could take action and implement those things consistently remains unseen. So there, I could pick that up and use that deficiencies to my own wonder.
May 21 2011 is a date to remember inΒ one that it brought a lot of humorous things online and offline. The hashtags related to that were so popular in Twitter and reading all those things could take forever. But maybe the important thing here for us bloggers is to evaluate if we’re still blogging at our very own pace. If not, then maybe we can use that day, reevaluate things and start working again like its a new beginning. I know it sounds corny.

I’ve lived through fifth apocalypses so far at my count. These things should be laughed off. π
Hi Melvin,
My blog is still alive, and I’m still alive too. I followed this doomsday discussion and it’s not the first time I’ve read about something similar. Instead of thinking about the last day, I start every day as it’s either my first day on earth, or it’s my birthday… that’s a lot more fun π
Jens
and that sounds refreshing and inspiring too man. Maybe I should start thinking that way too. π
yeah. yet some people still continue to believe on them, don’t they?
Maybe the rapture did happen, but nobody got saved… π
Although I heard that it was decided that Mr. Camping did the math wrong and the “real” rapture is now sometime in October.
I’m not sure why people are so fascinated about the end of the world when it fact, the prediction itself means that they too will be eradicated on the face of this earth. Let’s not put our fate into the prediction of an idiotic old man.
I am personally not a fan of doomsday prediction. Believing such prediction will limit your performance in life as you keep thinking that things wonβt last anyway so why strive to get better and succeed.
Harold Camping just got nothing to do with his life. He’s already old and taking away people’s money into deceiving them; When he failed last may 21 he said he made a mistake, the true Apocalypse will happen on October 21. He even gets media attention he doesn’t deserve.
yea. I mean can he not stop. This is getting more and more absurd.
I’ve stopped blogging for a while because I couldn’t keep up with it. Then, I realized blogging isn’t really meant for me. A few days ago, I’ve decided to start back with blogging, but the topic is not on money blogging anymore. I’m using my blogging website to promote my android apps.
The issue I’m having is that…google’s adsense close my account and I’m wondering what’s the next best source ad source to use?
Here are some questions from a newbie:
1 – Is it necessary to have weekly blogs since my main goal is creating android apps?
2 – What are some good ad source for publishers besides adsense?
Thanks!
I dont know but I think it will eventually come to the point where everyone would start not caring at his statements at all. I really hope it comes to that
Well… I didn’t know about end of days stuff, the only thing I know is 2012, though I still don’t believe it’s end of day but by seeing tragic around the world, it seems something is nearing us, but who cares… life had to go on till then…
