Hi, this is Melvin and welcome to The Melvin Blog.

First things first, I am Melvin Dichoso, an 18 year old student and affiliate marketer as well as blogger from the Philippine Archipelago. I am completing my Bachelor degree in Computer Science at a certain university.

So what is this blog all about? Well let me tell you first a short story. Even before blogging has became a hit I already do it. I write on built-in blogs of some social networking sites and I have enjoyed doing it immensely. Now there was a television once that has discussed income opportunities from blogging. That has caught my attention and well made me curious about it. Without further adieu, I took the action immediately. I put up a blogger blog about basketball, NBA in particular. Like many newbies starting out, I put Adsense there and start making posts. I made $0.06 on my first day and eventually ended $0.08 on my first month. I was really disappointed then.

Having learned that blogging wouldn’t be as easy as what I thought, I moved into a more complicated way of internet marketing. This time I have done my research only to flop at the end. I have made some silly investments that later ended up with a negative 2 figure ROI. I swallowed it for 6 months and my determination later paid off. Having earned no money at all for 6 months is crucial for me. This is where I have learned everything. Diving there and getting experience is probably the best decision I have done.

Now, I have become a better marketer. Starting early this year until now, I am making three figures a month on affiliate marketing which I thought is not a bad thing for a student like me. As I have learned, I seek to learn more. I have dabbled into PPC, some arbitrage and much other stuff. I just worked my way up! Again, what is this blog all about? I’m afraid to tell this blog will not teach how to make money online. The blog actually is how I used to make money online from my experience. And although I am not a millionaire, I can definitely share things related to Affiliate Marketing, Blogging, SEO and some other funny stuffs. In that way, I know I will also learn new things.
