Having one’s material read is quite a validation for it as it signifies that it was up to par and seemed to provide the viewer with something that they would take their time for.

true. personally, since i write poetry, it’s great to know that there’s an audience out there for what you write, and then you later find that some of them actually like your stuff, and keep on coming back. it’s a great feeling.
